WhatsApp ban appeal generator

To appeal a WhatsApp ban, open WhatsApp on the banned phone, tap Request review on the ban screen and send one short, honest explanation. WhatsApp says most reviews finish within 24 hours, and if there is no review button the ban is final. This free tool writes that explanation for you, with your number filled in.

Write my appealHow to submit it

50 scripts: 10 ban reasons x 5 tones. Runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent or stored.

Quick answer
  • Appeal from the ban screen itself: "This phone number can't use WhatsApp" has a Request review button.
  • WhatsApp reviews one number per appeal. Sending more requests, or contacting support some other way, does not speed it up.
  • No review button means the ban is final and cannot be appealed.
  • Only WhatsApp can unban you. Paid "unban services" cannot remove a ban, and neither can this tool.
  • Be honest. The review looks at your account's activity, so a story that does not match it will not help.

Dear WhatsApp Support Team,

I am writing to request a review of my account [your number with country code], which has been suspended. I have received no explanation for this suspension and I am unable to identify any reason why it may have occurred.

I have been a WhatsApp user for many years and have always used the application for legitimate personal and professional communication. I have never knowingly violated any WhatsApp policy. I respectfully ask that you investigate the reason for this ban and, if no genuine violation is found, restore my account at the earliest opportunity.

More examples are in sample appeal letters below.

How to submit a WhatsApp review request in 2026

WhatsApp's help center describes one official route for a banned number: the in-app review. These are the steps, using WhatsApp's own wording where it matters.

  1. Open WhatsApp on the phone with the banned number. A banned account shows: "This phone number can't use WhatsApp: [phone number]. You can request a review of this number. Most reviews are completed within 24 hours." The WhatsApp Business app shows the same screen.
  2. Tap Request review. If the button is missing, WhatsApp says the ban is final and can't be appealed.
  3. Add your explanation if the app asks for one. Paste the appeal you wrote above, check the number is correct, and submit. If no text box appears, the request goes in as it is; keep your letter in case WhatsApp asks for more information.
  4. Wait for the notification. WhatsApp sends a notification when it has reviewed the account and made a decision. You can check the status by opening WhatsApp.
  5. Use support only as a fallback. If the in-app flow will not load, the WhatsApp Support contact form or Settings, Help, Contact us in the app reach the support team. WhatsApp says contacting it outside the review process, or through another person's account, will not speed up the review or change the decision.
  6. If the ban is lifted, you will see "This account can now use WhatsApp." Verify your number again to get back in.

What happens after you request a review?

There are three outcomes. The ban is removed because the review found a mistake, the ban stays, or you never had a review option at all, which means it was final from the start. Most reviews finish within 24 hours according to the ban screen itself, but some take longer, and WhatsApp gives no timeline for those.

While you wait:

  • Do not send a second request. WhatsApp reviews one phone number per appeal, and repeats do not help.
  • Do not pay anyone to "unban" you. WhatsApp states that third-party services can't ban or unban an account. Only WhatsApp can.
  • Expect your chats to be locked. You can't open your chat history or backups while the number is banned. A backup becomes available again only after the number is unbanned.
  • Check your other numbers. If you run several numbers for outreach, pause the ones that shared the same contact list, message or network until you know what caused the ban. Our first-hour checklist walks through this.

Temporary vs permanent WhatsApp bans: which one do you have?

The screen you see tells you more than anything else. Match it below before you write anything.

If you just bought or were given the number, the ban may not be about you. WhatsApp notes that a previous owner's activity can be the reason a new number is banned. Say so in your appeal.

How to write a WhatsApp appeal that gets read

  • Keep it short. One screen of text. Every Brief script in the generator is under 400 characters.
  • Put the number in, with the country code, so it matches the banned account.
  • Tell the truth. The review looks at what the account actually did. If you used automation or messaged people who did not know you, saying so and explaining what you changed is more credible than denying it.
  • Say what you have already fixed: removed an unofficial app, turned on two-step verification, stopped a campaign, cleaned a list.
  • Do not threaten or demand. Polite and factual reads best.
  • Do not invent hardship. The generator puts placeholders in [square brackets] wherever a personal detail is needed. Fill them with what is true or delete them.

"I don't know why I was banned" (brief)
Hi WhatsApp,

My account [your number with country code] has been banned and I genuinely don't know why. I've reviewed my usage and can't find any policy violation. No spam, no third-party apps, no harmful content, just normal everyday conversations.

Please review my account and let me know what happened. I'd like to understand and I'd like my account restored.
"I was using automation or marketing tools" (professional)
Dear WhatsApp Support,

I am writing to appeal the suspension of account [your number with country code]. I acknowledge that I was using third-party automation software to assist with my business communication on WhatsApp. I was not aware that this constituted a violation of your Terms of Service.

I have immediately discontinued use of all automation tools and have reviewed WhatsApp's policy in full. I understand the importance of these rules in maintaining the platform's integrity. I respectfully ask for a second chance and a review of my account with consideration for the fact that my intentions were commercial but not malicious or harmful to other users.
"I was sending messages to many contacts" (brief)
Hi WhatsApp,

Account [your number with country code] was banned, likely due to sending messages to a large number of contacts in a short period. These were all people who know me personally: no spam lists, no strangers.

I understand the concern and will limit message frequency in future. Please review my account and restore access.

Only use the last one if it is true. If you were messaging cold leads, pick "automation or marketing tools" in the generator and edit it to match what happened.

How to stop it happening again

An appeal fixes one number at best. The cause is usually the same handful of things: brand-new numbers sending volume, the same text to everyone, robotic timing, cold lists that report you, and several numbers sharing one device or IP. WhatsApp's own guidance is blunt about it: its responsible use article says not to bulk message or auto-message, and it uses machine learning plus user reports to find accounts that do.

If you keep doing outreach on WhatsApp, read our guide on how to avoid a WhatsApp ban: the first hour after a ban, the real reasons numbers get banned, and a prevention system you can run by hand or in an app. You can also learn the rules by playing Ban Arcade, a free game where you try to keep numbers alive.

The same appeal writer is built into Wassuply, a Windows app for warming up and running WhatsApp numbers for outreach. Its WA Ban Appeal page has these 50 scripts and fills in the number from your connected accounts. The app also warms new numbers for at least 15 days (30 recommended), gives every number its own isolated session, fingerprint and optional proxy, and, with Smart Send turned on, slows or pauses sending when a number's ban-risk score climbs. No tool can honestly promise you'll never be banned. Wassuply removes what gets numbers banned.

WhatsApp ban appeal FAQ

Is this WhatsApp ban appeal generator free?

Yes. It is free, needs no account and runs entirely in your browser. Pick a reason and a tone, add your number if you want it filled in, and copy the letter.

Does the tool send or save my phone number?

No. The number is only used to fill in the letter on this page. The tool makes no network requests and stores nothing. The site's own analytics count page visits and button clicks, never what you type.

Can this tool unban my WhatsApp account?

No. Only WhatsApp can ban or unban an account, and its help center says third-party services can't remove a ban. The tool writes the explanation you send with your review request.

How long does a WhatsApp ban review take?

WhatsApp's ban screen says most reviews are completed within 24 hours. Some take longer and WhatsApp gives no timeline for those. You get a notification when there is a decision, and you can check the status by opening WhatsApp.

What if there is no Request review button?

WhatsApp says that if you don't see an option to request a review, the ban is final and can't be appealed. Its Terms also say that after a ban you agree not to create another account without its permission.

Should I admit I used automation or sent bulk messages?

If it is true, yes. The review looks at the account's actual activity, so denying something the activity shows is unlikely to help. Say what you did, that you have stopped or changed it, and ask for a review.

Can I appeal a WhatsApp ban by email?

WhatsApp's ban article points to the in-app Request review button. The WhatsApp Support contact form is a fallback if the in-app flow fails, but WhatsApp says contacting it outside the review process will not speed up the review or change the decision.

Can I send more than one appeal?

WhatsApp reviews one phone number per appeal, and sending more requests does not speed things up. Send one clear appeal per banned number.

Will I get my chats back after an unban?

While a number is banned you can't open its chat history or backups. WhatsApp says a backup is available again only after the number tied to it is unbanned.
