How Health & Risk scores your WhatsApp numbers
Quick answer
Wassuply's Health & Risk screen gives every WhatsApp number a readiness label, a warm-up plan, a safe daily limit and a live 0 to 100 ban-risk score. The plan comes from the number's age, ban history and past use, which you can enter in a short profile. Smart Send Protection can slow or pause risky numbers, but it is off by default, so the score is a warning only.

Key facts
- Wassuply's Health & Risk screen labels a number Ready after 60 days of warm-up, and recommends at least 15 days before a first campaign and 30 days where possible.
- Wassuply's safe daily limit starts from the number's age: 30 messages a day under 3 months, 50 at 3 to 6 months, 80 at 6 to 12 months, 150 at 1 to 3 years and 250 at 3 years or more.
- A past ban lowers a number's safe daily limit in Wassuply by 30, 50 or 60 percent, and regular bulk use lowers it by a further 25 percent.
- Wassuply recommends a first campaign of half the number's safe daily limit, capped at 100 contacts.
- The Wassuply ban-risk score runs from 0 to 100 and is built from the number's readiness label, its campaign failure rate over the last 7 days and how far it is over today's safe limit.
- Smart Send Protection is off by default in Wassuply; when you turn it on, campaign gaps stretch up to 3 times from a risk score of 60 and the number is paused from 80.
What does the Health & Risk screen show?#
Health & Risk shows one row per number with its connection, warm-up progress, messages sent today and in total, its safe daily limit after warm-up and a readiness label with its risk score. The screen is titled Account Health Monitor and lists numbers from most ready to least ready.
Four cards at the top count Connected, Warmup Running, Campaign-Ready and Needs Action numbers. The table columns are Account, Connection, Warmup (60d = full), Today, All Time, Post-Warmup Limit and Readiness. Click a row to open three panels: Warmup Plan, Sending Limits (with the Live risk score) and Advice. The screen refreshes every 20 seconds, or straight away with the refresh button.
What do the readiness labels mean?#
The readiness label comes from the number's status and how many days of warm-up it has. Each label also sets the starting point of the risk score.
| Label | When it applies | Base risk score |
|---|---|---|
| Ready | 60 or more warm-up days | 5 |
| Warming | 30 to 59 days | 20 |
| Min. Reached | 15 to 29 days | 40 |
| Too New | 1 to 14 days | 65 |
| Needs Warmup | No warm-up yet | 85 |
| Disconnected | Not connected, including while connecting | 90 |
| Banned | WhatsApp's ban screen detected | 100 |
Warm-up days are calendar days since the number first joined a local warm-up session or the Warm-up Network, plus any earlier warm-up you report in its profile. They count from that first start even if the session was stopped later, so check that warm-up is still running (a green dot in the warm-up column). Campaign-Ready counts numbers labelled Ready, Warming or Min. Reached.
How do you give a number its history?#
Click the clipboard icon (Edit account profile) at the end of the number's row, answer five questions and click Save Profile. Without a profile, Wassuply measures the number's age from the day you added it to the app, so an old number added yesterday is treated as brand new.
- How old is this WhatsApp number? Under 3 months, 3 to 6 months, 6 to 12 months, 1 to 3 years, or 3+ years.
- Was this account warmed up before using this app? No, briefly (under 2 weeks), properly (2 to 4 weeks) or thoroughly (1+ month). This adds 0, 7, 21 or 45 days to its warm-up count.
- Roughly how many DMs have been sent from this number in total? Barely any, Some, A lot or Heavy use. This shows as prior messages under All Time.
- Has this number ever been banned or restricted? Never, Temporarily restricted once, Restricted multiple times, or Previously perm. banned.
- What has this account mainly been used for? Personal / friends, Light business, or Regular bulk sends.
The profile is stored on your computer and can be changed at any time from the same icon. Numbers with a profile also list the factors affecting their limit in the Sending Limits panel.
How is the warm-up plan worked out?#
The plan's total warm-up days start from the number's age, add time for any ban history and heavy use, and never go below 15 days.
| Input | Warm-up days |
|---|---|
| Age under 3 months | 60 |
| Age 3 to 6 months | 45 |
| Age 6 to 12 months | 30 |
| Age 1 to 3 years | 21 |
| Age 3 years or more | 14, raised to the 15-day minimum |
| Restricted once / multiple times / previously banned | +15 / +30 / +45 |
| Light business / regular bulk sends | +7 / +14 |
The Warmup Plan panel shows progress in days, a suggested Start at rate (5, 8, 10 or 15 messages a day depending on age and ban history), an Add per week step (+5, +8 or +10 a day), the Current safe warmup rate and a week-by-week ramp for up to 10 weeks.
Caution: The week-by-week ramp is a suggestion. Wassuply does not change your warm-up volume for you: raise the daily message number in your warm-up session yourself as the plan moves on.
How is the safe daily limit calculated?#
The safe daily limit is a base figure for the number's age, reduced for ban history and heavy use, rounded down to the nearest 10 and never below 10.
| Number age | Safe messages per day | First campaign |
|---|---|---|
| Under 3 months | 30 | 15 contacts |
| 3 to 6 months | 50 | 25 contacts |
| 6 to 12 months | 80 | 40 contacts |
| 1 to 3 years | 150 | 75 contacts |
| 3 years or more | 250 | 100 contacts |
Ban history multiplies the base by 0.7 (restricted once), 0.5 (multiple times) or 0.4 (previously banned). Light business use multiplies it by 0.9 and regular bulk sends by 0.75. For example, a 2-year-old number restricted once and used for light business gets 150 × 0.7 × 0.9 = 94.5, rounded down to 90 a day, and a first campaign of 45 contacts. The first campaign is always half the limit, capped at 100.
Tip: The same limit appears in the Sending Calculator and feeds the risk score. It is advice, not a hard stop: the cap that actually stops sending is each number's Daily Message Limit or the Global Daily Send Limit.
How is the 0 to 100 risk score calculated?#
The risk score is the base for the number's readiness label plus penalties for recent send failures and for going over today's safe limit, capped at 100.
- Base: 5 for Ready up to 100 for Banned, as in the table above.
- Failure rate: +12 if 10% or more of the number's campaign sends failed in the last 7 days, or +25 at 20% or more. It needs at least 5 attempts to count.
- Over today's safe limit: +15 the moment the number passes it, rising with the overage up to +95. A Ready number reaches 60 at about 1.5 times its safe limit and 80 at about 1.75 times.
- Failures and the overage only count while the number is connected. The score is recalculated at most every 5 minutes.
The score is coloured green below 40, yellow from 40, orange from 60 and red from 80, and the reasons behind it are listed under the score. Hover the small risk figure under the readiness label to see them from the table.
What does Smart Send Protection do, and is it on by default?#
Smart Send Protection is off by default: the risk score is a warning only and your numbers send at the speed you set. To let Wassuply act on the score, go to Settings → Campaign Defaults → Smart Send Protection (ban-risk) and switch on Enforce protection (auto-slow / auto-pause risky accounts).
- Off (default)
- Warning only. Nothing is slowed or skipped.
- Slow down at (default 60)
- From this score, a number's campaign gaps stretch, rising steadily to 3 times the planned wait at the pause score.
- Pause at (default 80)
- From this score, the number is skipped by campaigns, sequences, local warm-up, the Warm-up Network and Group Builder until its score drops.
Both thresholds run from 0 to 100; keep Pause at higher than Slow down at. If every number in a campaign is paused this way, the campaign pauses itself and asks you to reconnect a number or adjust Smart Send Protection, then Resume. The Advice panel's "auto-slowed" and "auto-paused" lines only take effect when enforcement is on. More pacing controls are in Sending safety.
Frequently asked questions#
Why does a number I have used for years show Too New?
Without a profile, Wassuply counts age from the day you added the number and warm-up from its first warm-up session in the app. Click Edit account profile and enter its real age and earlier warm-up.
Does the risk score block my sends?
Only if you switch on Smart Send Protection in Settings. By default the score is shown as a warning and nothing is slowed or paused.
Does Wassuply raise my warm-up volume as the plan progresses?
No. The plan suggests a weekly increase, but your warm-up session keeps the daily number you set until you change it.
Is the safe daily limit the same as my daily cap?
No. The safe limit is advice and an input to the risk score. The hard cap is the Daily Message Limit in Account Settings, or the Global Daily Send Limit in Settings when that is 0.
Why did a number's risk score jump after a campaign?
Usually because 10% or more of its campaign sends failed in the last 7 days, or it sent more than its safe limit today. The reasons are listed under the score.
Does Health & Risk know when WhatsApp restricts or warns my number?
Wassuply only recognises WhatsApp's ban screen, which sets the label to Banned. Temporary restrictions and warnings are not read, though the failures they cause raise the risk score.
What does Health & Risk show for a banned number?
The label Banned, a risk score of 100 and advice to replace the number. See Ban recovery for what to do next.
