Warm-up
How account warm-up works
Quick answer
Wassuply warm-up has your own WhatsApp numbers message each other in pairs, taking turns, using random lines from 10 built-in chat packs or your own. You set how many messages each number sends a day (20 by default), a random gap (30 to 120 seconds by default) and active hours. Warm a brand-new number for at least 15 days, ideally 30, before its first campaign.

Key facts
- Wassuply's local warm-up pairs every number in a session with every other number, so a 5-number session runs 10 two-way conversations, each taking strict turns.
- A new Wassuply warm-up session defaults to 20 messages per number per day, a random 30 to 120 second gap per pair, and 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on weekdays only.
- Wassuply ships 10 built-in warm-up chat packs: nine with 51 to 76 lines each and Tech & Gadgets with 20,000 lines, or you can paste your own lines.
- A Wassuply warm-up number stops for the day at the lower of the session's daily number and its own daily send limit (80 by default), counted together with campaign messages.
- Wassuply does not raise warm-up volume automatically: Messages per Account per Day stays at the value you set, from 1 to 200, until you change it.
- Warm-up lines are picked at random and are not written by AI; once a pair has used every line, Wassuply starts the list again and lines repeat.
- Wassuply recommends warming a brand-new WhatsApp number for at least 15 days before its first campaign, and 30 days where possible.
What is warm-up and why does a new number need it?#
Warm-up means a WhatsApp number sends and receives ordinary messages before it does any outreach, so its first campaign does not come from a number with no history. A brand-new number that suddenly messages strangers at volume is one of the most common reasons numbers get banned. Warm-up lowers that risk; no tool can remove it.
This page covers local warm-up, where your own numbers message each other. The Warm-up Network pairs your numbers with other customers' numbers. Both count towards the warm-up days in Health & Risk. Local warm-up sends real text messages, runs only while Wassuply is open, and needs an active licence: if your plan lapses, it holds without sending.
How do I start a warm-up session?#
Create a session on the Warmup screen, choose at least two connected numbers and a chat pack, then press Start. A session is a group of numbers that warm up together under one set of rules.
Open the Warmup screen
In the sidebar, open Warmup → Warmup and click New Session.
Name it and pick numbers
Type a Session Name, then tick at least two numbers under Select Accounts (min 2). All Connected ticks every connected number, and a group pill ticks a whole group.
Choose the lines
Under Message Pack, pick one of the Built-in Packs, or switch to Custom and paste your own lines, one per line.
Set pacing and hours
Set Min Delay, Max Delay, Messages per Account per Day and the Schedule.
Create and start
Click Create Session, then Start on the session card. Wassuply opens each number's WhatsApp Web session and waits up to about 16 seconds for it to connect.
Caution: Start needs at least two connected numbers with phone numbers. It refuses a number that is sending a campaign, adding group members or extracting a group, and names it.
How does Wassuply decide which number messages which?#
Every number in a session is paired with every other number, and each pair holds its own conversation in strict turns. The editor shows the count as pair conversation(s).
| Numbers in the session | Pair conversations |
|---|---|
| 2 | 1 |
| 3 | 3 |
| 5 | 10 |
| 10 | 45 |
- Turns: after every successful message, the turn passes to the partner.
- One at a time: a number in several pairs sends its messages one after another, never two at once.
- Hand-offs: if the number due to send is at its daily cap, not connected, or held by Smart Send Protection, its partner takes the turn.
- Checks: Wassuply confirms the open chat is the partner's and that the message box holds exactly the chosen line before clicking Send.
- No delivery check: a message counts as sent once Send is clicked. Wassuply does not read WhatsApp's ticks for warm-up.
- First chat: if search cannot find a pair's chat, Wassuply may open it with WhatsApp's click-to-chat link, which reloads that number's WhatsApp Web page.
How is each message chosen, and can lines repeat?#
Each message is a random line, leaving out lines the sending number has already sent in the current run and lines the pair has already exchanged. Lines are not sent in order, so write custom lines that make sense on their own.
Lines do repeat eventually. When a pair runs out of unused lines, Wassuply clears that pair's history and starts the whole list again. With a 76-line pack and 20 messages a day, two numbers use every line in about two days. For long warm-ups, choose Tech & Gadgets or a long custom list.
| Built-in pack | Language | Lines |
|---|---|---|
| General Chat (marked Best) | English | 76 |
| Business Talk | English | 59 |
| Casual Banter | English | 51 |
| News & Events | English | 52 |
| Food & Lifestyle | English | 53 |
| Motivational | English | 53 |
| Tech & Gadgets | English | 20,000 |
| Sports Banter | English | 59 |
| Movies & Music | English | 61 |
| Hindi / Hinglish | Hindi and Hinglish | 66 |
Tip: A pack's lines are copied into the session when you save it, so editing the session later shows them in the Custom box.
What does each warm-up setting do?#
Each session has its own delays, daily number and schedule. New sessions start from the defaults in Settings → Warmup.
| Setting | Default | Allowed | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Min Delay | 30 seconds | 5 or more, below Max Delay | Shortest random wait before a pair's next message. |
| Max Delay | 120 seconds | Above Min Delay | Longest random wait. |
| Messages per Account per Day | 20 | 1 to 200 | Most warm-up messages one number sends a day. |
| Run 24/7 until stopped | Off | On or off | Ignores start, end and weekends. |
| Start Time and End Time | 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM | 15-minute steps | Active hours on your computer's clock. |
| Include weekends (Sat & Sun) | Off | On or off | Off means Monday to Friday only. |
In Settings → Warmup you can change the defaults (Messages Per Day 1 to 200, Min Delay 5 to 300 seconds, Max Delay 5 to 600 seconds) and turn on Auto-resume warmup sessions on launch, which is off by default.
Tip: Wassuply keeps five WhatsApp sessions loaded by default. When warming more than five numbers, raise Warm Pool Size in Settings → Sending (1 to 20), or each send can wait about 10 seconds for a session to reload.
How do delays, daily caps and active hours work together?#
Delays space out each pair's messages, the daily cap limits each number, and the schedule decides when anything is sent.
- Delays: before each message, a pair waits a random time between Min Delay and Max Delay, counted from its previous message. Each pair keeps its own timer, so a number in several pairs sends more often. After Start, each pair's first message goes out straight away.
- Daily cap: a number stops for the day at the lower of Messages per Account per Day and its own Daily Message Limit, or the Global Daily Send Limit in Settings → Sending (80 by default) if that is 0. The count includes campaign and Warm-up Network messages and resets at midnight.
- When capped: the partner takes the turns. When both are capped, the pair waits for the next day and Wassuply shows a Warmup Daily Limit notification.
- Active hours: outside the window, or at weekends when they are off, pairs check again every minute. A window can cross midnight. Local warm-up ignores the Blackout Hours that campaigns use (see sending safety).
Tip: With the defaults, two numbers reach 20 messages each in under an hour, then wait for the next day. To spread messages through a 12-hour window, two numbers sending 20 each need a gap of about 900 to 1,200 seconds.
What happens when you pause, stop, edit or close Wassuply?#
Pausing keeps a session's place; stopping and pressing Start again begins a fresh run with an empty message history.
| Action | What happens |
|---|---|
| Pause | No new message starts. Turn order and history are kept, and campaigns can use the numbers. |
| Resume | Carries on from the same place, if two numbers are connected and free. |
| Stop, then Start | Clears turn order, message history and the session's counts. Each number's daily cap still counts today's sends. |
| Edit | Lines, delays, daily number and schedule apply from the next turn; number changes apply at the next start. |
| Close Wassuply | Warm-up stops. Running sessions restart on launch only if auto-resume is on; otherwise they show as Stopped. |
Local warm-up data stays on your computer: sessions, lines, turn order and the messages of the current run. Each send also appears in Activity Logs as a Warmup entry, and Live Activity shows the last 150 messages while the screen is open.
What does the Warmup Progress screen show?#
Warmup → Warmup Progress shows one read-only card per session with its status and today's progress.
- Stage label
- Early Warm, Building, Established or Full Speed, set by your daily number (up to 15, 40, 80, then above), not by how long the numbers have warmed.
- days active
- Days since the session was created.
- Today's messages
- The whole session's sends today against the per-number daily value, so the bar can reach 100% before each number hits its cap.
- Send window, Delay range, Schedule, Script lines
- The session's settings and line count.
- Accounts
- Each number's connection dot and its sends today across Wassuply.
How long should a number warm up, and what are the limits?#
Warm a brand-new number for at least 15 days before its first campaign, and 30 days if you can. Wassuply does not ramp the daily number for you: to send more over time, raise Messages per Account per Day yourself.
Health & Risk counts warm-up days from when the number's earliest warm-up session was created, or its first Warm-up Network message if earlier, and shows Ready from day 60. It does not check daily volume, so keep the session running.
- A running session blocks campaigns on its numbers; pause it first (see broadcast campaigns).
- With Smart Send Protection set to enforce, a number at or above the pause score sits out its turns and is retried every 2 minutes.
- Failed sends are retried after 30 seconds, then 2, 5 and 15 minutes, then every 30 minutes.
- 184 Tech & Gadgets lines contain the word stop. With Auto opt-out on replies on, a receiving number can record the sender as opted out in Contacts.
Caution: Warm-up lowers ban risk but does not remove it. Afterwards, keep each number within its safe daily limit. If warm-up stops working, see troubleshooting.
Frequently asked questions#
Can I warm up just one WhatsApp number?
Not with local warm-up, which needs at least two numbers to message each other. A single number can join a pod in the Warm-up Network.
Does Wassuply increase warm-up volume automatically each day?
No. Each number sends up to the daily value you set, every day, until you edit the session.
Are the warm-up messages written by AI?
No. They are lines from the built-in packs or your own lines, picked at random. AI in Wassuply writes campaign messages, not warm-up chats.
Does warm-up keep running when Wassuply is closed?
No. It runs only while Wassuply is open with the numbers connected. Turn on Auto-resume warmup sessions on launch to restart running sessions when the app opens.
Can a number warm up and send a campaign at the same time?
No. Wassuply will not start a campaign on a number in a running warm-up session, or the reverse, so pause one first. Both share the number's daily limit.
How is local warm-up different from the Warm-up Network?
Local warm-up pairs only your own numbers, on your schedule, with gaps you set. The Warm-up Network pairs them with other customers' numbers, with turns timed minutes apart by Wassuply's cloud.
Why did Sent Today go back to zero?
Pressing Start on a stopped session begins a fresh run and clears its history and counts. Each number's daily cap still remembers today's sends.
