Plans, licences and devices in Wassuply
Quick answer
Wassuply licences are tied to your account email, not a licence key: you sign in to the desktop app and it picks up your plan. A plan sets how many WhatsApp numbers and device seats you get and when it expires. Without an active plan the app is locked or read-only. Gift and activation codes work once, and you free a seat by signing out or deauthorising a device.

Key facts
- A Wassuply licence is linked to the email you sign in with; there is no licence key to type.
- A Wassuply plan sets three limits: the number of WhatsApp accounts, the number of device seats, and an expiry date or lifetime access.
- When a Wassuply plan expires or is revoked, the app turns read-only: you can view your data, but sending and adding accounts are paused until you renew.
- The Wassuply desktop app keeps working offline on the last plan it received for up to 14 days, and never past the plan's own end date.
- Each Wassuply gift or activation code can be redeemed once, and it activates its plan on the signed-in account straight away.
- Deauthorising a computer from the Wassuply customer portal frees its seat, and the app on that computer stops sending within about a minute.
- Signing out of the Wassuply desktop app frees that computer's device seat and signs out only that computer.
How do plans and licences work in Wassuply?#
Your Wassuply licence belongs to your account email. You sign in to the desktop app with that email and password, and the app fetches your plan from Wassuply's cloud for that computer. There is no licence key. Buy or renew on pricing; prices are not listed in these docs.
Open Account at the bottom of the sidebar to see the My Account screen. It shows:
- Current plan
- The plan name and a status badge: Active, Expired, Revoked or No plan.
- Accounts
- How many WhatsApp numbers you have, against your plan's limit.
- Devices
- How many computers your plan allows.
- Days left or Expires
- Days remaining and the expiry date, or Lifetime if your plan never expires.
Changes to your plan, such as a renewal or a redeemed code, normally reach a running app within about a minute. If the app is offline it shows Showing last-known plan (offline).
What do the licence states mean, and what still works?#
Only an active plan lets Wassuply send. The other states either lock the app or make it read-only, so you can still look at your data.
| State | What you see | What works |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Green Active badge | Everything, within your plan's limits |
| Expired | A warning banner across the app saying your plan has expired and the app is read-only, with a Renew link | Viewing your numbers, contacts, campaigns and history. Sending and adding accounts are paused. |
| Revoked | The same banner, saying your plan was revoked | The same as expired |
| No plan | A full-screen No active plan page | Only View plans & billing, redeeming a code and Sign out |
| Suspended | Shown in the customer portal with a request to contact support | Contact support@wassuply.com; codes cannot be redeemed on a suspended account |
Read-only mode stops anything that sends, including campaigns, warm-up and Group Builder. A Group Builder job holds and carries on once the plan is active again. If you try to send while read-only, Wassuply asks you to renew from My Account.
Tip: Offline grace: the app keeps your last plan for up to 14 days without an internet connection, but never past the plan's end date. Go online before that to refresh it.
How do I redeem a gift or activation code?#
Enter the code under Have a gift or activation code? and press Redeem. You can do this on the app's No active plan screen or in the customer portal under Billing. The plan is activated on the account you are signed in with, right away.
Sign in with the right email
The plan goes to the account you are signed in to, so use the email you want the licence on.
Enter the code
In the app, type it on the No active plan screen. In the portal, open Billing (or press Redeem a code on Overview).
Press Redeem
A confirmation names the plan and shows lifetime or its end date.
Use the app
In the app the plan unlocks straight away. If you redeemed in the portal, the app picks it up within about a minute.
- One use per code. A code redeemed on another account returns That code has already been used. Redeeming your own code again just confirms it is on your account.
- Format. Codes look like PREFIX-XXXXX-XXXXX. Capitals, spaces and dashes do not matter.
- Expiry and refunds. Some codes have an expiry date, and refunded codes stop working.
- One lifetime licence per account. If your account already has an active lifetime licence, redeem the code with a different email or contact support.
- Too many tries. After 8 attempts in 10 minutes, wait 10 minutes before trying again.
How many devices can I use, and what counts as a device?#
Each plan has a set number of device seats, shown as Devices in My Account and Device seats in the portal. A device is one computer signed in to Wassuply with your account; a Windows PC and a Mac are two devices.
- The seat is tied to the computer itself, so reinstalling Wassuply on the same computer normally reuses its seat.
- Sign out in My Account frees that computer's seat and signs out only that computer. Your other computers and the portal stay signed in.
- My Account and the portal's Devices & sessions list each computer with its system, app version, last-seen time and whether it is online or revoked.
If every seat is taken, the app shows Device limit reached with how many devices your plan allows and how many are in use. Sign out on another computer, or deauthorise it in the portal, then press Retry.
What is the difference between deauthorising a device and a block?#
Deauthorising is something you do to free a seat, and it is reversible. A block is applied by Wassuply support and keeps the computer locked until support lifts it.
| You deauthorise it | Wassuply support blocks it | |
|---|---|---|
| Where | Portal Devices & sessions, or the bin icon in My Account → Devices | Wassuply support only |
| On that computer | Within about a minute it stops sending and shows Device deauthorized | The same screen, and it stays locked |
| The seat | Freed at once for another computer | That computer cannot take a seat until support unblocks it |
| Getting it back | Sign out and in again, or press Retry, while a seat is free | Contact support; once re-authorised, the app recovers or you press Retry |
Tip: The Device deauthorized screen mentions an administrator even when you deauthorised the computer yourself. If you did it, sign in again there when a seat is free.
How do I move Wassuply to a new computer?#
Back up your numbers on the old computer, free its seat, then sign in on the new one and restore. The encrypted cloud vault brings your logged-in WhatsApp numbers across without scanning the QR code again.
Back up each number
On the old computer, right-click a number in the sidebar and choose Transfer to Another PC (Transfer to Another Computer on a Mac), or use Back up in My Account. Backing up briefly closes that number's live view.
Free the seat
Press Sign out in My Account on the old computer, or deauthorise it in the portal's Devices & sessions.
Install and sign in
Download Wassuply from the customer portal on the new computer and sign in with the same email.
Restore
In My Account → Cloud vault, press Restore next to each backup. Each number is added as an account; open it from the sidebar to connect.
The vault holds WhatsApp sessions only. Campaigns, contacts and message history stay on the computer where you created them. More on backups in WhatsApp accounts.
Is there a free trial?#
There is no time-limited trial. Creating an account at sign-up and downloading the app are free, but until a plan is active the app opens on the No active plan screen and cannot warm up or send.
To get going, buy a plan on pricing with the same email, or redeem a gift or activation code. The full first-run walkthrough is in getting started.
Frequently asked questions#
Do I need a licence key to activate Wassuply?
No. Sign in to the desktop app with the email your plan is under. If you bought with a different email, contact support@wassuply.com.
What happens to my data when my plan expires?
Nothing is deleted. The app turns read-only, so you can still see your numbers and data, and sending starts again once you renew.
Can I use Wassuply on a Windows PC and a Mac?
Yes, with the same account, but each computer uses one device seat. If your plan has fewer seats, sign out on one before signing in on the other.
Does reinstalling Wassuply use another device seat?
Normally not. The seat is tied to the computer, so a reinstall on the same machine reuses it.
Where do I see how many days my plan has left?
In the app under Account (Days left and the expiry date), or on the portal Overview under Days remaining. A lifetime plan shows Lifetime in the app and Lifetime plan in the portal.
Can Wassuply run without an internet connection?
For a while. The app keeps your last plan for up to 14 days offline, never past the plan's end date, but WhatsApp itself needs a connection to send.
How do I cancel my plan?
Use Request cancellation in the portal's Billing tab. Access stays active until the end of the current period; see customer portal.
