Warm-up

How the Warm-up Network and pods work

Updated Wassuply 1.0.4 for Windows and macOS 9 min read

Quick answer

The Wassuply Warm-up Network lets your WhatsApp numbers chat with other Wassuply customers' numbers in pods. Each number in a pod is paired with every other member, and Wassuply's cloud times whose turn it is. Join a public pod on the Warmup Network screen or create an invite-only pod in My Pod. You need an active licence, and partners see your phone number.

Key facts

  • In the Wassuply Warm-up Network, a number that joins a pod is paired one to one with every number already in that pod, and each pair takes turns.
  • Warm-up Network turns are timed by Wassuply's cloud at a random point inside the pod's range, shown on each pod card as minutes between replies.
  • A My Pod private pod holds up to 100 numbers, up to 20 from one Wassuply account, with 2 to 10 minutes between turns and 40 messages per number per rolling 24 hours.
  • Joining the Warm-up Network needs an active Wassuply licence and a one-time consent, because pod partners see your number's phone number in WhatsApp.
  • Wassuply only gives a number its turn when the partner's app has reported that partner number as connected within the last 2 minutes.
  • While the app is open, Wassuply removes a banned number from its pods at once, and a number that stays disconnected for about 4 minutes.
  • Warm-up Network lines come from a shared bank and are picked at random each turn with no per-pair history, so lines can repeat.

What is the Warm-up Network?#

The Warm-up Network lets your WhatsApp numbers exchange messages with numbers owned by other Wassuply customers, so warm-up is not only your own numbers talking to each other. Numbers join a pod, and Wassuply pairs each number with every other number in that pod for one-to-one text chats.

  • Public pods are created by Wassuply and listed on Warmup → Warmup Network.
  • Private pods are invite-only. You create one in Warmup → My Pod and share its code.
  • Chats are one-to-one text messages: no groups, voice notes or media.
  • Wassuply's cloud decides whose turn it is. Each owner's own Wassuply app sends the messages through WhatsApp Web on their computer.
  • Network messages count towards warm-up days in Health & Risk, like local warm-up.

How do I join a public pod?#

Pick a pod on the Warmup Network screen and add one of your connected numbers to it.

  1. Open Warmup Network

In the sidebar, open Warmup → Warmup Network and accept the consent card if it shows.

  2. Pick a pod

Under Available pods, use the search box and the Category, Members and Timing filters, then click Join on a pod.

  3. Add a number

Under Pick a connected account to add, click Add next to the number. Only connected numbers with a phone number are listed.

  4. Leave Wassuply open

The number appears under Your accounts in the network with its active pairings and sent and received counts. Turns start after a random wait within the pod's timing.

Joining fails with a message if the pod is full, you already have the pod's maximum of your own numbers in it, or that number is already a member.

What does a pod card tell you?#

Each pod card shows the pod's size, pace and member countries.

Members
Current members against the maximum, such as 3 / 5 members. A full pod shows Full.
up to N of your own accounts
How many of your numbers the pod accepts.
min between replies
The pod's timing range, in minutes.
Countries
Up to four countries with member counts, from each number's dialling code.
Who's in here
Other members as Member 1, Member 2 and so on, with country, join date and a green dot if they sent in the last 15 minutes. It only loads once one of your numbers is in the pod.

Pods are grouped under categories set by Wassuply, with uncategorised pods under General. Each pod also has a daily cap per number, set by Wassuply and not shown on the card.

How do pairing and turns work between different owners?#

When a number joins, Wassuply's cloud pairs it with every number already in the pod, including your own, picks at random which side of each pair speaks first, and schedules the first turn at a random time within the pod's timing. After each message, the turn passes to the partner and the next turn gets a new random time.

Your app asks for due turns about every 25 seconds. A turn is handed to your number only when it is your number's turn, the scheduled time has passed, the partner's app reported the partner number as connected in the last 2 minutes, and your number is under the pod's 24-hour cap. Your app then holds the turn if any limit in the next section applies; the partner waits with it.

  • Lines: each turn sends one random line from a shared bank Wassuply manages. No history is kept, so lines repeat, and they are not chosen as replies. With no bank lines available, the app uses six short built-in lines such as "hey!". Lines are not written by AI.
  • No double sends: if a message went out but the cloud did not confirm the turn, your app retries only the confirmation, even after a restart.
  • No delivery check: a turn counts once Send is clicked.
  • Several computers: the computer that holds the number takes its turns.

What limits how much a number sends in a pod?#

Every pod turn passes the pod's own limits first, then your app's limits for that number.

LimitWhere it is setEffect
Pod timingBy the podRandom gap between turns in each pair.
Pod daily capBy the pod (40 in private pods)Most messages one number sends in that pod per rolling 24 hours.
Number's daily limitDaily Message Limit, or Global Daily Send Limit (80 by default)Shared with campaigns and local warm-up; resets at midnight.
Blackout HoursTools → Blackout HoursNo turns during blacked-out hours.
Smart Send ProtectionSettings → Campaign DefaultsWhen enforced, a number at or above the pause score skips its turns.
Busy numberAutomaticTurns wait while the number runs a campaign, local warm-up, Group Builder or a group extraction.

Caution: A number whose local warm-up session is running, even outside that session's active hours, takes no network turns. Pause or stop the session for part of the day. Pods have no active hours of their own, so use Blackout Hours to keep numbers quiet at night (see sending safety).

How do private pods work in My Pod?#

Warmup → My Pod lets you own one private, invite-only pod per Wassuply account and share its code with people you trust, such as your team. Private pods never appear in the public list.

  • Create: enter a Pod name (My Pod if left blank), pick a connected number and click Create my pod. That number joins at once.
  • Invite: share the code with Copy. New code replaces it and the old code stops working immediately.
  • Members: each shows its owner's name for the number, a yours tag, country, a green dot if it sent in the last 15 minutes, and messages sent. The bin icon removes any member.
  • Add my account adds more of your numbers, and Recent activity lists the latest sends.
  • Close my pod removes every member, ends every pairing and frees your slot.
  • Join a pod by invite: enter someone's code, pick a connected number and click Join.

What do other pod members see about your numbers?#

Pod partners see your number's phone number, because WhatsApp shows it in the chat and their app needs it to message you. Other details are limited as below.

InformationWho can see it
Phone numberEvery number paired with yours.
Country (from the dialling code)Anyone viewing the pod list, members of the pod, and a private pod's owner.
The name you gave the numberPaired members, in the Report list, and a private pod's owner.
Join date and recent activityMembers of the same pod, under Who's in here, without names.
Messages sent countA private pod's owner.
Your chats, contacts, campaigns and other numbersNobody.

Wassuply's cloud stores your memberships (number name, phone number, country) and when each turn happened, not which line was sent. While you are signed in with an active licence, your app also reports your connected numbers' names and phone numbers about every 25 seconds, so turns only go to numbers that are online.

Tip: Give numbers neutral names in Wassuply before they join a pod, since partners can see them.

What happens when you leave, or a number is banned or offline?#

You can leave or report at any time, and Wassuply removes numbers that stop working.

Leave
After you confirm with Leave pod, the number leaves and all its pairings end.
Report
Report the whole pod and leave it, or pick one contact to end only that pairing and flag the partner for review.
Your number is banned
Removed from every pod as soon as your app sees the ban.
Your number is disconnected
While the app is open, removed after about 4 minutes or 3 failed sends in a row, with a notification.
Wassuply is closed
After about 10 minutes without a check-in, Wassuply's cloud can remove your numbers from their pods.
A partner is offline or banned
Your number gets no turns towards it, and it is removed after about 10 minutes offline.
Your licence lapses
Your app stops taking turns and checking in, so your numbers can be removed as if Wassuply were closed.

Caution: Removed numbers do not rejoin on their own; join again from the pod card or invite code. Pods lower the risk that comes from numbers only talking to each other, but they do not stop bans, and you cannot vet who is in a public pod. If turns stop, see troubleshooting.

Frequently asked questions#

Can other pod members see my phone number?

Yes. Every number paired with yours sees its phone number in WhatsApp, and Wassuply cannot hide it. That is why consent is required and private pods are invite-only.

Do I need to keep Wassuply open for the Warm-up Network?

Yes. Turns are sent from your computer, and numbers not reported online for about 10 minutes can be removed from their pods.

Can I use the Warm-up Network and local warm-up on the same number?

Yes, but not at the same moment. While a local session with that number is running, its network turns wait, so pause the session for part of the day.

Can one number warm up in the Warm-up Network?

Yes. Unlike local warm-up, which needs two of your numbers, a single number in a pod is paired with every other member.

Will my own numbers be paired with each other in a pod?

Yes. Several of your numbers in the same pod are paired with each other as well as with other members.

Can I choose who my number talks to?

Not in a public pod, where it pairs with every member. In a private pod only people with your code can join, and you can remove members.
